April Lockhart
April Lockhart (born July 4, 1995) started her journey in music in the 7th grade in which she began guitar and piano lessons. When April was 12 when she wrote her first single Different. When April was 14 years old, she devoted long hours developing song ideas and perfecting the music. Then, in the following months, April began traveling with her father and write either in NY as well as LA. April started to incorporate various other topics relevant to the Take my Hand song for some friends, such as peer-pressure issues and suicide among teens. Lockhart has become a sought-after lifestyle blogger and working in partnerships with clean-cut beauty brands Ilia and YSL, has cultivated her own following. Her birthplace didn't come having a left-handed hand, which is the reason she's what she is. But that's far from the full story. The profile of Lockhart on Twitter does not ignore her status as disabled, but neither does it focus on it. The point? The message is That we all carry many identities, we're more complex than we think we are. Lockhart talks via video in Nashville. "I do not wish for it to dictate my personal life. I'm not looking to only be known as a disability expert. This doesn't have any effect on my everyday life. I go about things normally, and I've discovered the best way for me to adapt the things. This is a major aspect of my existence, so it is important to discuss the subject. Lockhart has been a great example to other women regarding self-acceptance. However, she admits having moments when she felt uncomfortable with her appearance, and the clothes with arms. Now she wears whatever outfit she wishes and shares pictures on Facebook in awe. The self-love she talks about is a journey. I'm not sure when you'll reach the final stage. It's a long journey. I'm sure that you never get there. It is important to have people in your life who know and can relate to the way you feel. They will be the ones to ask your: What are you worry about?
